Our normal stay is 7 days (cross country from Washington State) a drink each morning and a mug for the bus, a drink in the evening and one for the room makes 4 a day. Otherwise I think the mugs are a great money saver, If you get 5 drinks during your stay, you paid for the mug. So my drinking a mug of Arnold Palmer for dinner and refilling the mug to go to the room was not possible with my preferred drink. The machine said that I had to wait Refill exceeded. On the 3rd refill of Tea it was OK, But not with the 4th for the lemonade. So that is counted as two refills although you only got one full mug.

All that is registered is that you filled up once at the Ice Tea, Than a second refill at the Lemonade. It seems that there is a limit on the number of times the mug can be refilled in a given time frame. When I did this on a recent trip I found that I could not get a second mug of my preferred mix. For those that do not know that is half Ice Tea and Half Lemonade. I ran into this one because I like to Drink and Arnold Palmer. But there are some catches to refills not covered here.
